Saraswati anath shikshan ashram has been providing support to orphans in the Pune area at the grass roots level for fifteen years. Children admitted to our orphanage come from different social categories. Many of them have lost their parents to various causes such as alcohol, accidents, or long term disease brought about by their poor level of their living. In other cases, the low level of income does not allow the family's basic needs to be met, hence the child is sent out in the streets to beg for money. To provide for such children, we have constructed an orphanage at Dapodi, Pune, which currently houses 50 children. The size of the orphanage is woefully inadequate given the needs of the community, and we are looking to expand the orphanage so we could house more children.
We are happy to announce that a private foundation from the US (Guru Krupa Foundation Inc, www.guru-krupa.org) has seen fit to support our efforts, and has provided funds for the construction of two additional rooms to accommodate more children (separate room for boys and separate room for girls). The construction work has started on this Phase I in 2011.
We would like to appeal to potential donors to fund us for additional phases of the construction (as follows):
An appeal for the construction of Phase II and Phase III:
Though the support of Guru Krupa Foundation has given us a head start to construct separate RCC rooms for boys and girls …. Our mission is to go for the phase II and phase III and this can only be done with your support in the form of DONATIONS.
Phase II: COMPUTER AND STUDY ROOM FOR THE CHILDREN.
Phase III: THE CHILDREN SURELY NEED A LIBRARY TOO.
